One of the many great perks of being at Stanford is definitely the possibility to engage in conversations with some of the world's sharpest thinkers in the field of technology. The Stanford AI Lab also celebrates this unique environment of bright minds with its very own discussion panel: The AI Salon.

As stated in one of my previous posts my work here at Stanford AI Lab is related to the overarching goal of eventually cracking the Visual Turing Test. But an ambitious mission like that can never be accomplished in one shot. So it has to be broken down into tractable sub tasks. “Question Answering” is one of them helping us to gradually advance our purpose.

I finally arrived at Stanford and said hello to my new colleagues but since they were pretty busy with another deadline at the moment I was given some days of spare time before my program officially starts on April 1st.
